Fan Bremen
„Städterosen“ look, when closed, like a fan. They open up to a circle with scalloped borders. On the leaves are sights, mostly city views. Main producer was in Germany the printer and publisher C. Adler from Hamburg, in England it was A. N. Myers & Co. from London.
310139 Maker: C. Adler, Hamburg. Illustrated fan in remembrance of Bremen. The covers are decorated with a pasted scrap showing a lush bunch of flowers inscribed „SOUVENIR“. Inside, the front displays 6 and the back 8 oval views of the city: townhall, Roland’s statue, bridge over the Weser, Vegesack... Chromolith. (rose) & steel engraving. 255 mm diameter (unfolded). Circa 1880.
