310149 Maker: Francesco Bartolozzi (1728-1815). Half-length portrait of „N. BONAPARTE“ after the painting by Andrea Appiani (1754-1817). Stipple engraving, colored à la poupée, on laid paper. 494x404 (sheet), 455x362 (plate mark), 376x325 mm (frame line). Backs: Plain. Circa 1800.
The painting is dated from circa 1800 and we assume that the printing occurred shortly thereafter. Please note the elaborate technique.
A few marginal tears (NOT reaching into the picture), crease in the lower right margin, folding mark in the lower left corner.
