The alge have been neatly pasted on the original album’s leaves, several ones on each sheet, throughout with a sense of ornament. They have retained over the years the whole charm of their colorful delicateness, and some even show an amazing materiality.

Somewhat dust-soiled in the margins, faint occasional foxing, a few small marginal tears, the algae almost entirely intact with very few defects.
